Norman Ravvin

Norman Ravvin is a writer and teacher.   At Concordia’s Department of Religion he chaired the Institute for Canadian Jewish Studies.  His essays on Jewish Literature are collected in A House of Words: Jewish Writing, Identity and Memory.  His novels include The Joyful Child  and Lola by Night, which appeared in Serbian translation.  His fiction and non-fiction have appeared in magazines across Canada and on CBC radio.  Over the past fifteen years he has traveled in and written about Poland, and his newly finished novel portrays contemporary Poland and Vancouver.  An excerpt is forthcoming in a collection of Polish themed fiction.
