Kalonymus Kalman Shapira, the Piesetzner Rebbe, perished in the Holocaust. He was a profound educational theorist who cultivated chassidim by conveying the delight of a life close to God and empowering his students to participate in their own spiritual development. We will study the rebbe’s treatise on how to embrace a niggun so that it sings “its own song" and the soul “breaks open a path to the height of the heavens.” The session will conclude with the visual and aural presentation of an artwork generated by Rabbi Hannah's own niggun practice.
