War and Occupation

Through traditional Jewish texts we will examine the consequences of a Jewish narrative of power in the real world? We know that the use of power is morally obligatory, how do we use power justly in the context of war and the context of the occupation of another people? What is the Jewish theory of just and unjust war? How does the way we speak and act toward occupation fit into our moral goals?
