Threads of Memory - a tapestry journey

There are many themes woven through my tapestries but the brightest threads are those that explore how family stories, Jewish culture and spiritual beliefs influence my artwork. Their role and that of memory which can illuminate and distort is complex and I will attempt to unravel their paths through my imagery and iconography over the years. Using slides of my tapestries, I will take us on my journey of self-discovery and spiritual transformation in the hope it will resonate with the experiences of others. There will be many detours along the way poking into subtext made explicit, in the tradition of a good Jewish story.
